"Trust me, I'm a reporter"
In May 2008, I jumped ship from newspapers and made my way to ESPN where I work as a computer-assisted reporting specialist and investigative reporter for television, online and radio. Most of my own work appears on "Outside the Lines," but I also help reporters, producers and writers working on pieces for features, news, "E:60," and ESPN The Magazine. And I conduct various training sessions on investigative reporting.
I spent a decade skipping around the United States before I moved back to my hometown of Omaha, Neb., a few years ago, where I live with my husband and Cleo, the world's most loyal German shepherd.
More randomness. I've lived in six states and, while still in college, spent several months in Ireland and Northern Ireland. I have a vast collection of 1970s B sci-fi movies. I tend to prefer hot sauce brands with the word "death" or "widow-maker" in them. I make a mean kashmiri chicken. I'm still trying to perfect my yoga crow pose without toppling over. My annual ritual is a bicycle ride across Iowa and I routinely find cycling to be a place of great zen. I have a phobia about drains. I enjoy trying new things, as evidenced here when I tried my hand at branding on my in-laws' cattle ranch.

P.S. No, I am not Paula Lavigne the famous Brazilian actress. She's a brunette. But if you feel the need to keep sending me fan mail in Portuguese, be my guest.
